Job Title: Life Without Limits Programs Coordinator

The Cerebral Palsy Association of BC (CPABC) is an independent charitable organization, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We provide support, education and information to people living with Cerebral Palsy (CP) in British Columbia.


Job Summary: The Program Coordinator holds responsibility for the smooth running of day-to-day Life Without Limits Programs and services.


Key Responsibilities


  • Organizing, schedule programming, and evaluating all CPABC programs

Includes, but not limited to: Dance Without Limits, Yoga, Arts Without Limits, Self Defense. Others: Annual General Meeting, and special projects such as Community Connection Series programs, Focus Groups, Pre-Employment Training Program, Youth and Seniors group, etc.

  • Ensure and maintain a high standard in programs delivery


  • Organizing:
  • Liaise with community centers (or other location sites) to ensure that room bookings and necessary equipment are available
  • Develop strategic partnerships and maintain contacts with a wide range of healthcare professionals and service providers
  • Resolve any issues that may arise in a program; provide support and crisis management as needed


  • Evaluation:
  • Monitor attendance of program participants
  • Maintain an accurate record of all inquiries or concerns
  • Prepare program evaluation reports; conduct follow-up calls to past participants
  • Assist with completion of reporting practices



Related Responsibilities

  • Recruit and supervise staff and volunteers associated with CPABC programs and special projects
  • Participate and attend functions as a CPABC representative and promoter

Including promoting Life Without Limits programs to the public; organizing and participating in interviews, or media (photo/ videos with program funders)

  • Manage administrative tasks for the smooth running of CPABC programs and services
  • Undertake any duties consistent with the overall purpose of the position, as directed


Job Requirements


Must Have:


  • Post-secondary education in an area relevant to social services, health, recreation, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Including a working knowledge of administrative and office programs and applications; for the purposes of producing, maintain records, and provide data for evaluation; desktop publishing, Adobe creative suite, WordPress knowledge

  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the CPABC team
  • Detail-oriented individual, able to multi-task and plan ahead
  • Willingness to work outside of normal hours

Time and days to be decided by management, situationally dependent 


Good to Have:

  • Multi-tasking: Ability to prioritize activities, juggle multiple responsibilities, and facilitate a diverse group in a supportive setting
  • Knowledge and understanding of disability issues that affect people living with CP
  • Adaptive and flexible in responding to new or unexpected events
  • Showing a willing ability to take initiative and a positive attitude towards the work



Key Relationships: Reports to the Executive Director



Ranging from $19/hr. to $20.5/hr.

The position is full time, with medical benefits offered after a three-month probation period.
