Music Instructor

 

The MukiBaum Accessibility Centre is seeking a bright, enthusiastic, hardworking creative Music instructor in the North York Area on a purchase of service basis. The Music instructor will be responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of various music programs throughout several programs at the Centre. The music instructor will be working individually and in groups with adults with autism and other complex developmental disabilities. Participation in educational activities and other duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in music is required
  • Ability to play instruments is an asset
  • Experience in working with people with special needs such as individuals with Autism, and/or complex developmental disabilities is essential.
  • Degree in Music or in other areas such as education, Psychology, Social Sciences is a preferred
  • Standard First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
  • Required Police Reference Check with Vulnerable Person Sector Screening.
