On behalf of our client, Rady Jewish Community Centre, we are searching for a Fundraising/ Development Manager to join their team. The Rady JCC is one of Winnipeg’s leading non-profit agencies. Their mission is to be the center of the community by providing the best in Jewish culture, early learning, and wellness for people of ages, backgrounds and abilities. They offer a wide range of programs for all ages in the Jewish and general community that include children, families, teens, seniors and people of all ages with special needs.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Fundraising/ Development Manager will help ensure that Rady JCC has the resources to meet the needs of the community. This is a new position and in addition to supporting their annual Sports Dinner, this candidate will be responsible for sourcing and preparing grant proposals, administering new fundraising software, and developing new fundraising initiatives strategies. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with good judgement, great energy and enthusiasm to build and execute strategic fundraising goals.


Key Accountabilities
• Identify and implement overall fundraising plan to support the JCC’s strategic directions
• Lead and design solicitation efforts, including the design and management of a donor relations program
• Plan and coordinate special events, including but not limited to the annual Sports Dinner
• Plan and implement a program to grow the Rady JCC’s endowment
• Manage and administer donor database
• Source and prepare grant proposals to support programs and other initiatives
• Oversee current fundraising initiatives and develop new initiatives to support JCC’s mission
• Plan and manager budgets to meet fundraising targets
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, key stakeholders, volunteers, board, and staff
• Develop and implement a communications program to support fundraising initiatives, in cooperation with the Marketing and Communications Manager


Skills & Qualifications
• University or College degree in Business Management, Fundraising or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification is an asset
• Minimum of 3-5 years of fundraising experience, with a strong background in special events
• Financial management experience
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Customer service and donor relations experience

• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, personable and service-oriented
