Development Third Party Event Coordinator


Position Type:  30 hours per week for 10 or 12 weeks

                          (8 Weeks, Canada Summer Jobs Contract)

                          (Additional 2 to 4 weeks, Caledon Community Services Contract)

Anticipated Start Date: June 2018          

Location:  18 King St. East, Bolton

Compensation:  $14.00/hour

Agency Overview:

Caledon Community Services (CCS) is a multi-service, community-impact organization and recognized leader in addressing health and care, transportation, employment, training, resettlement, business development and social service needs of individuals and families in the Town of Caledon and surrounding communities. CCS operates an integrated, client focused model of services that provides seamlessness between distinct programs, innovations in service delivery, significant volunteer leadership and myriad multi-sector partnerships and collaborations directed towards community building and meeting the needs of a growing Caledon Community.


Summary of Responsibilities:

Under the leadership of the Chief Development Officer and/or their designate, the incumbent will:

  • Research potential Third Party opportunities and create a database of potential participants;
  • Develop related promotional materials that support third party events while outlining CCS support for such events;
  • Establish and cultivate stellar donor relations in the best interest of CCS;
  • Create, implement and manage an appreciation program that strengthens relationships with community;
  • Represent CCS in community outreach as required;
  • Support existing Third Party events and activities by working with event organizers;
  • Collect and effectively maintain a donor database that includes all Third Party constituents and supports CCS fundraising on a go-forward basis;
  • Other related duties as assigned.


  • Summary of Qualifications:
  • Studying at the post-secondary level in areas of study such as: Fundraising, Marketing, Event Management, Data Analytics or related field;
  • Good research and analytical competencies;
  • Creative thinking skills;
  • Internet and social media savvy;
  • Excellent project management skills;
  • Outgoing personality and comfortable engaging with the public;
  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check.


To be eligible for this initiative, individuals must: be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of the

employment; have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return

to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person

to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; be

legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and
