Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

An exciting opportunity exists with Atira Women's Resource Society for an Accounts Payable Administrator. We offer a challenging and rewarding work environment for women passionate about the work of ending violence against women and children. Understanding the dynamics of violence against women and children and the intersectionality of oppressions within a feminist framework and being able to apply this understanding in your day-to-day practice is mandatory.



The successful candidate will be a forward-thinking change agent with strong professional and personal attributes. Candidates with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, will be considered.


Primary Accountabilities:

      • Processing A/P Invoices
      • Communicating with vendors
      • Processing expense reimbursement reports
      • Provision of timely, accurate and complete financial information and reports for clients of AWRS
      • Ensuring accuracy of A/P sub-ledgers
      • Processing intercompany payments and reconciliation
      • Communicating with external vendors/suppliers with regards to any discrepancies with the Account Statement
      • Ensuring invoices are allocated properly to the appropriate strata corporations, rental properties, or non-profit buildings
      • Ensuring compliance with signing authority and approval policy
      • Processing VISA statements and expense reports
      • Assisting in preparation of month-end deliverables
      • Processing pre-authorized debit payment and filling out credit check forms
      • Processing online bill payments for utility bills
      • Preparing schedules and aged A/P reports for monthly reporting and year-end audits
      • Perform other duties as assigned


Skills & Abilities:

      • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
      • Experience with Sage 300 software is an asset
      • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete assignments under strict deadlines
      • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills
      • Comfortable working independently, as well as collaboratively, in a team environment
