For over two decades, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice (CPCH) has made a significant difference in the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses and the families who love them. Be part of a talented and innovative team that takes pride in supporting and providing the highest quality pediatric palliative care.

 

This creative communications role is responsible for developing and implementing effective online communications and marketing strategies that raise Canuck Place Children’s Hospice’s (CPCH) brand recognition, drive online engagement and fund development, as well as connect CPCH supporters to the work and programs at CPCH through digital storytelling. This includes composing compelling stories about the organization, creating engaging digital imagery that attracts attention, managing content on all CPCH social media platforms, and analyzing the collected data to make recommendations on how to engage current and future donors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, media, communications, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years related experience, including working in web communications or digital marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Well versed in social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
  • Current experience in delivering effective online advertising, including SEM and SMM
  • Experience in developing effective and compelling content (written, photo and video)
  • Highly detail oriented with stellar proofreading and editing skills
  • Experience working with WordPress, CMS (content management systems) and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with SEO, Hootsuite or Sprout Social and Google Analytics
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with MailChimp, or comparative platform, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and consistently deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, including a high degree of integrity, passion, empathy and compassion
  • Experience working in a collaborative and professional team environment
  • Clear and valid BC driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are required
  • Knowledge of video production is an asset
  • Experience in a non-profit environment is an asset

Note: Flexibility is necessary as this position may require occasional weekend and evening work and travel within the Lower Mainland.
