The Program:

WJS Canada’s Home To Stay provides personal supports to clients in their own homes and specializes in services such as personal care, housekeeping, companionship, community connections, advocacy, and family support. The Home to Stay program has been providing support to people with many different needs since 2013. WJS staff are trained in many aspects of health care and our experience allows for flexibility in supports and ensures individuals in our care are safe.


We ensure the supports you receive meet your needs. We’re available twenty-four hours a day, 7 days a week. We encourage feedback to help ensure the right caregiver and supports are in place allowing the client to feel safe and comfortable with their caregiver and services.


The Position:

Identifies and provides specialized supports and interventions for persons with developmental disabilities, FAS/FAE and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder in an accredited agency. Supports and instruction focus on community inclusion skill development, social network and employment skills. The positions will provide services to clients within the Outreach and Home to Stay programs.



  • Two (2) Part-Time positions of 32 hours per week, per position
  • Schedule will vary depending on the needs of the program(s)
  • Requires the full ability to work various days of the week (Monday-Sunday), between the hours of 0700-2100.
  • Ability to travel within the Lower Mainland region


As an ideal candidate you possess:

  • A degree, diploma or certificate in one of the humanities, social work or related field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of one year experience working with persons with a developmental disability, autism and/or FASD
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certificate (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and current driver’s abstract (hiring subject to abstract review)
  • Non-Violent Physical Crisis Intervention Certificate or equivalent certification (or ability to obtain during probationary period)
  • Clear physician’s note confirming suitability, including a negative tuberculosis screening test
  • Successful candidate must sign an oath of confidentiality, a conflict of interest statement, abuse protocols and a code of ethics statement.
  • Must have consistent / reliable access to a working printer/scanner/copier
  • Cellular phone with data plan (compensation provided for business use of personal device)
