Stakeholder Support Lead

In 2013, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care announced the Quality Management Partnership (the Partnership), which brings together the CPSO and CCO (Cancer Care Ontario). Since then, the Partnership has been working closely with stakeholders to develop and implement quality management programs (QMPs) for three health service areas: colonoscopy, mammography and pathology. As a member of the Quality Management Partnership program at the CPSO, the Stakeholder & Standards Development Lead will develop and coordinate the implementation and adoption of facility standards and best practice guidelines. They will also manage the implementation of a new Learning Management System (LMS) that will support Partnership stakeholders’ learning needs and help facilitate Partnership communications initiatives.


As part of a new initiative, the incumbent will provide on-going management of a Learning Management System, including engaging and registering users, curating and posting content and providing consistent and clear communication to stakeholders aligned with the Partnership’s goals.  Engaging and collaborating with CPSO committees and working groups, the Lead will build relationships with members of the healthcare profession and health system stakeholders. The incumbent will lead and facilitate working groups consisting of staff, internal and external multi-disciplinary health professionals, professional associations and health system stakeholders while promoting stakeholder engagement in Partnership activities, especially those related to facility standard adoption. Liaising with the Partnership communication team and CPSO’s, the Lead will create and disseminate communication materials, tools and resources and contribute to on-going communication outreach to stakeholders. The Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on their own work plans while working across two organizational teams. The incumbent in this role will create background documents and supporting materials including briefing notes, PowerPoint presentations and reports to promote their activities and the Partnership.



  • University degree in health or social sciences, health administration, or demonstrated equivalent experience with minimum 5 years relevant work experience
  • An understanding of Ontario’s healthcare system
  • Excellent organizational skills; responsible and highly motivated; must be able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and effectively anticipate and respond to issues as they arise
  • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and skills
  • Strong adaptability, flexibility and fluidity to change direction and priorities with ease
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a Learning Management System
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong problem solving, critical thinking and group facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative and cross organizational team environment, as well as independently and interact comfortably with all levels of staff at CPSO & CCO
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to establish trust, credibility and respect
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Project, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook; Skilled in creating products (e.g. papers, reports, presentations, diagrams) for multiple audiences
  • Knowledge of: change management principles; the clinical environment, and; the regulatory environment
