Are you in search of a role that will allow you to use your in-depth knowledge of learning trends and delivery methods (including web-based and multi-media technologies)? In this role, the Instructional Designer is responsible for the coordination and production of learning projects that support CARNA integrated curriculum in the learning management system.

 

 

Your primary responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on best practices of instructional design and methodologies
  • Advise and participate in the implementation of the learning management system
  • Develop multi-media and graphics for eLearning
  • Collaborate with Nurse Educators and CARNA Consultants to complete needs analysis, design and development of learning activities
  • Design eLearning using storyboard and project management principles
  • Evaluate learning projects and ensure technological support, sustainability and accessibility
  • Assess adult learner characteristics and advise instructional design in various modalities
  • Contribute creativity and engaging design to learning modules

 

 

You possess

  • 4 year undergraduate degree in education is required; graduate degree in adult education or instructional design is an asset
  • 5–6 years’ experience in some combination of health and education settings, designing, developing education solutions and measuring outcomes
  • Demonstrated expertise in development of video, graphics, webinars and the integration of learning management tools
  • Experience in program evaluation methodologies or project management would be considered a strong asset
  • Understanding of adult learning theory with the ability to apply adult learning methodologies
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
