POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society (GVFBS) is seeking an experienced Raiser’s Edge (RE) Database Administrator to join their team. This position is critical to the support of the organization’s goals and objectives within the local community. The person in this role will be a team player with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the RE donor database in support of all development initiatives.

 

Main Duties

  • Manage Raiser’s Edge Database.
  • Ensuring that the technology is utilized most efficiently on an ongoing basis, including attending Blackbaud webinars/training as required to keep up to date with best practices.
  • Importing & exporting data, setting data entry standards, trouble shooting, training others and enforcing data entry guidelines to ensure data quality and consistency, and providing guidance on improving processes as needed.
  • Collaborating with Finance to ensure transparency and accuracy of data and procedures between SAP and RE.
  • Data reporting & analytics, producing reports, dashboards, constituent/stakeholder lists or other data, and coaching team members to do the same.
  • Creating custom reports for development & other departments as needed.
  • Building queries that accurately meet the criteria outlined including targeting and segmentation.
  • Managing the Luminate Online/ Raiser’s Edge Connector.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years with full responsibility for RE in a not-for-profit organization preferred.
  • Expert ability in creation of reports, queries and export lists for internal and external use.
  • Strong computer skills including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Excellent organizational skills including the ability to identify priorities, work independently, meet deadlines and use logic and analysis to solve computer software problems.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with colleagues and volunteers is essential.
  • Ability to exercise decisiveness and good judgment in situations requiring the evaluation of information to reach creative solutions.
  • Ability to provide leadership and training in the use of RE as it relates to the needs of departments other than Development (Finance and Admin, Warehouse, Volunteer Services, etc.).
  • Experience working with Luminate Online.
  • Crystal Reports knowledge is an asset.
