E4c’s Financial Management Hub seeks to enhance the capacity through support and education of personal financial management for persons served to achieve housing stability and overall well-being through self-direction and empowerment.


The Financial Management Hub provides financial administration directly to individuals and families facing issues who are referred to HUB by Housing First agency and Alberta Health Services. The focus of these financial services provided by the Hub are voluntary and person centered. As a Senior Financial Administrator, you will ensure that accounting records for each individual persons served are accurate through in trust bank accounts that may be accessed on a daily basis.


Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday during office hours.

In Your Role You Will

  • Prepare daily cash sheet according to the Financial Administrators’ daily budget sheets in relation to persons served.
  • Create bank run spreadsheet for Financial Administrators to distribute on bank runs.
  • Monitor bank accounts and file receipts daily for accuracy and availability of funds needed for the necessities of life for the persons served, such as rent, utilities, food, bus passes etc.
  • Manually log all gift card purchases onto each individual persons served’s Gift Card Transaction log.
  • Reconcile internal transactions using the Easy Trust Billing (ETB) database on a monthly basis.
  • Use excel spreadsheet for cheque preparation day, gift card preparation and food basket order through Wecan.
  • Purchase gift cards, bus passes, bus tickets etc. as requested by clients.
  • Complete data entry and prepare internal reports using Easy Trust Billing (ETB) and Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) systems.
  • Facilitate positive relationship building with internal team members, persons served and community members.
  • Comply with e4c agency policy & procedures, standards, program operational policies and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Standards.

Education and Certifications


  • Degree/diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR.
  • Suicide Intervention.


  • 5+ years of experience working in a financial administration position.
  • Experience with marginalized populations, high risk and vulnerable populations within a financial support capacity.
  • Familiarity with complex issues that affect people living on a low-income
  • Previous experience within the social services sector.
  • Working knowledge of harm reduction sexual exploitation, abuse and trauma, addictions, mental health, homelessness, and Edmonton’s inner city.
  • Demonstrated experience de-escalating crisis and potentially violent situations with individuals under the influence of drugs or alcohol, under extreme stress &/or struggling with acute/chronic mental health crises.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, database applications and computer operation.
  • Proficiency with an accounting system such as AccPac or Simply Accounting is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Agency Programs, Accounting and Financial Literacy is an asset.
