About the Organization

Located in North-central Saskatchewan, the Lac La Ronge Indian Band (LLRIB) is the largest First Nation in Saskatchewan, and one of the largest in Canada. 

Our reserve lands extend from rich farmlands in central Saskatchewan, all the way north through the Boreal Forest to the mighty Churchill River and beyond. Our central administration office is located in La Ronge, approximately 240 km north of Prince Albert, on the edge of the Pre-Cambrian Shield.

The LLRIB Health Services Department provides a wide range of Health services to over 4,000 members who reside in Kitsaki, Hall Lake, Sucker River, Little Red River and Grandmothers Bay. Our mission is to provide quality, equitable and accessible programs and support by ensuring the holistic well-being of each member of the community. 

About the Opportunity

The LLRIB Health Services Department has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Health Services to join our team in La Ronge, Saskatchewan.

As our new Health Director, you will assist the LLRIB Heath Department with planning, developing and implementing a variety of activities based on community health needs and priorities. 

Reporting to the LLRIB Executive Director and LLRIB Health Services Inc. Board of Directors, you will oversee the implementation of the five-year Community Health Plan and ensure that priorities are established to provide the overall direction of the organization. You will prepare annual work plans and facilitate the evaluation of the Community Program.  

 

To qualify for this role, you will have a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Public Health or Health Administrationplus at least 5 years of senior management experience in the administration of Health Services, preferably in the provision of community-based health services with First Nations. You will also have a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial budget management, in excess of 10 million dollars.
