This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who is interested in social justice, social change, innovation, and collaborative work. This project is a new and community-centric approach to permanent supportive housing opening in 2018. The Site Manager plays a key role in the development and execution of a model of care that prioritizes the needs of the people that we serve through wellness, community enhancement, and an informal approach to modelling life skills.


e4c’s permanent supported housing programs provide housing for people looking for stability, recovery, and a better life. In your role you serve people who, due to histories of trauma and related mental illness and addictions, need enhanced levels of housing support. The Site Manager position reports to the Program Manager, and provides key support to the team, to ensure the program is running in a way that meets both residents’ specific needs and agency/funder requirements.


Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday: 9:00am to 5:00pm; potential evenings and weekends work and on-call      responsibilities apply.

In Your Role You Will

  • Manages program operational cycle and plans service delivery to achieve program goals and outcomes.
  • Coordinates program information through the management of client and program personnel information; preparation of summary reports of activities and statistics; and communication and consultation with stakeholders and relevant parties.
  • Works in partnership with Program Manager to ensure operations are running smoothly on-site.
  • Works in conjunction with Human Resources Department to recruit personnel.
  • Supports front-line staff by observing performance, recognizing successes, providing constructive feedback and maintaining appropriate documentation.
  • Reviews life skills, wellness and community enhancement goals and care plans with multi-disciplinary team to ensure programming reflects needs and diversity of program participants.
  • Debrief and follow-up on critical incidents and/or crisis situations in conjunction with staff to provide support, ensure proper protocol was followed and minimize future incidents.
  • Develops and maintains Risk Register for sites and ensures risk management practices are followed across all shifts.
  • Monitors and manages financial budget and records to ensure service delivery is developed and reported in a timely manner.
  • Maintains standards of practice for the house in alignment with harm reduction, natural law, behavior modification, trauma-informed and person-centered practice through modelling and coaching
  • Builds and models positive relations with e4c staff, residents, community and other stakeholders through integrated activities and programming and on-going relationship building.

Education and Certifications


  • Degree or diploma in the area of human services, education and/or administration
  • Police Check with Vulnerable Sector
  • Child Intervention Record Check.
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Medication Administration
  • Suicide Intervention
  • Food Safety
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Proof of vehicle insurance, registration and 3 year drivers abstract


  • Mental Health First Aid
  • De-escalation Certificate
  • Harm Reduction Training
  • Cultural Awareness


  • 5+ years supervisory experience with exceptional leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to foster a team environment and provide reflective supervision to team members.
  • Personal lived experience of addictions, mental illness, racism, discrimination, poverty is an asset.
  • Experience working in collaborative partnerships
  • Working knowledge and experience with harm reduction, person-centered, trauma-informed, behavior modification, natural law, strength based, collaborative, and/or solution focused practice.
