                                                       Front Office Manager

To create a better world for their five children with disabilities, a group of families came together in 1976 to create the North Shore Disability Resource Centre (NSDRC).  Last year the NSDRC provided service to almost 2,000 people. We believe that a “Community For All” includes every citizen; people with disabilities, their families and friends; and our employees. Our Mission touches every aspect of the North Shore, housing, recreation, transportation, employment and education.  We are joined in our mission by North Shore citizens and so many others.

 

The NSDRC is seeking a Front Office Manager to work 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4:30pm.

 

You are a shining star that will support the NSDRC by creating and maintaining a welcoming office environment for the community. You are looking for a position where you are valued as part of a team of change makers and their allies, in a friendly and efficient environment.

 

In your past work or volunteer service, you demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, a sense of humour and loads of energy. You enjoy working collaboratively and are comfortable using a wide range of computer-based programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, databases, WordPress, web-based intranet services, etc.). A great lunch recipe is always welcome.

 

JOB DUTIES include, but are not limited to:

·   general reception duties; answering phones, welcoming visitors and guests, etc.

·   managing Agency vendor relationships

·   managing mail and postage machine

·   managing storage areas and office supplies

·   maintaining an efficient and organized office space

·   supervising and mentoring the team of front office employees and volunteers

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·   3 years’ experience in administrative supports

·   2 years’ experience managing a front office

·   experience in the non-profit sector will equip you to meet the many challenges of this position

·   excellent command of English, both spoken and written

·   command of other languages would be an asset
