As Financial Administrator, you will assist individual persons served with managing their finances and provide one-on-one financial literacy by teaching persons served how to plan their spending and how to work their plan. Everyone has a story . . . and we believe in a future where poverty isn’t part of it. e4c’s Financial Management Hub seeks to enhance the capacity through support and education of personal financial management for persons served to achieve housing stability and overall well-being through self-direction and empowerment.


The Financial Management Hub (Hub) provides financial administration directly to individuals and families facing housing and financial issues, as well homelessness, who are referred to the Hub by Housing First agency and Alberta Health Services. The focus of these financial services provided by the Hub are voluntary and person centered.


Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday during office hours.

In Your Role You Will

  • Schedule intake meetings with persons served and referral agent to complete necessary documents required for service at the Hub.
  • Negotiate with collection agencies and other creditors on behalf of the persons served and ensure the individual is receiving all the benefits they are entitled to.
  • Support persons served with crisis intervention and provide consultation in regards to spending plans or community resources to maintain stability.
  • Monitor bank accounts daily for accuracy and availability of funds needed for the necessities of life for the persons served, such as rent, utilities, food, bus passes etc.
  • Encourage and assist persons served to participate in financial literacy workshops.
  • Purchase gift cards, bus passes, bus tickets etc. as requested for persons served.
  • Complete data entry and prepare internal reports using Easy Trust Billing (ETB) and Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) systems.
  • Facilitate positive relationship building with internal team members, persons served, community members and partner agencies.

Education and Certifications


  • Degree/diploma in Human Services, Business Administration, Education or related discipline.
  • Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR.
  • De-escalation and Crisis Intervention Training.
  • Use of reliable vehicle (current: vehicle insurance proof of 2 million liability, vehicle registration, and driver’s abstract).


  • Familiarity working with people of complex needs.
  • Knowledge of office equipment and computer software programs i.e., MS Word; MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Knowledge of Agency Programs, Accounting and Financial Literacy is an asset.


  • Working Alongside Other Organizations – collaborative; people oriented.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Organization skills - detail oriented, analytical thinker.
  • Motivated - Self-directed but clearly able to follow direction
  • Adaptable – prioritizing emerging priorities.
