Corporate Engagement Specialist: Job Description

Reporting to the Manager of Philanthropy, the Corporate Engagement Specialist plays a key role in cultivating and managing new and ongoing funding support from public and private stakeholders, and for promoting awareness of and engagement in SCI BC activities, programs and services. This is a business development and fundraising role and is best suited for someone who is results driven with the ability to communicate and deliver an organization’s value to a wide range of corporations and industries. Job responsibilities will include:

 Corporate Engagement and Stewardship:

  • Work with the Fund Development Team to create the overall sponsorship strategy
  • Identify all fundable opportunities and related recognition
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with corporate supporters
  • Solicit corporate partnerships and related corporate funding requests Contribute to the planning, coordination and execution of all corporate sponsorship stewardship initiatives
  • Monitor budget and update revenue forecasts; analyse and evaluate results, and make strategic changes accordingly to meet revenue goals



  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to create marketing materials and campaigns to engage and steward sponsors, members, and donors
  • Identify and articulate value proposition for partners designed to address the partner’s commercial and philanthropic interests



  • Manage existing advertising portfolio, including insertion orders, ad files, invoicing and collecting outstanding revenue
  • Aggressively seek out potential new business


Donor Engagement:


  • Work with the Fund Development Team to create and implement donor-based fundraising campaigns
  • Contribute to the planning, coordination and execution of all corporate donor stewardship initiative
  • Provide support for grant submissions

Education: Post secondary degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Fundraising or related experience
