This Exciting Opportunity…

The Learning Developer will provide insights and support to the learning team in developing learning curriculum, particularly in Egale’s fees for service.

  • Liaise with research and learning team in developing curriculum for fees for service
  • Consult with corporate clients to identify needs and, where appropriate, collaboratively develop new programming to meet those needs
  • Serve as a resource to clients and Egale on the integration of LGBTQI2S curriculum through consultations and in the development of professional and commercial learning resources
  • Plan, monitor and execute project scope and time management
  • In collaboration with the Training & Curriculum Developer, contribute to the development of a framework for enhancing the quality and relevance to clients’ needs and objectives
  • Advocate for diversity and inclusion in curriculum development
  • Act as a change manager as to change of client’s requirements, legislations, technologies or other elements that may impact the training content
  • Have the ability to think through the suitable solution and method for any business opportunity
  • Have the ability to problem solve and think through the right solution for a business opportunity
  • And other duties, as directed, for the delivery of the department’s strategic priorities and/or to meet key deadlines.

We’re Passionate About Finding Someone Who…

  • Completion of post secondary degree or diploma in education, adult learning, communications, and or related fields
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in e-learning development, instructional design, and/or learning program development, previous experience with diversity and inclusion training in corporations is considered a strong asset
  • Extensive experience in administering and managing LMS, including report generation, learning content creations
  • Experience with adult learning and instructional design principles
  • A strong communicator with the ability to transfer knowledge, communicate and influence peers and apply learning principles in the curriculum
  • Ability to research, analyze and communicate latest learning trends to peers
  • Willingness to work with flexibility, including working alternative hours, changing priorities, some travel may be required
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a busy environment, to work well under pressure, and to prioritize tasks appropriately while meeting time-sensitive demands.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is a definite asset
  • Brings a strong understanding of intersectionality and Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppression practices
  • Has knowledge / lived experience with the diverse experiences and identities of LGBTQI2S communities is strongly preferred
