This position collaborates with the Operations Manager to provide assessments, as well as, plan and implement the programming for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the centre or in the community to ensure optimum service delivery.

Family Support:

  1. Provides training to parents, staff and other individuals on dealing with challenging behaviours and building positive replacement behaviours.
  2. Is responsible for the delivery of clinical components of the OAP Services and Supports program out of the main Woodview site and across the Halton catchment area.

Team and Agency Support:

  1. Works collaboratively as an effective team member.
  2. Provides clinical guidance to the team in conjunction with the current Clinical Supervisor.
  3. Jointly with the Program Manager and current Clinical Supervisor, supervises therapists, assists with clinical management, outcome measures.
  4. Jointly with the Program Manager and current Clinical Supervisor, ensures that service quality meets with Woodview Autism Service’s and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) mandates.
  5. The Clinical Supervisors are also responsible for ensuring that BACB guidelines are followed.
  6. Assumes accountability for clinical decisions.
  7. Monitors clinical activities to ensure quality goals and objectives are met. Collects and analyzes data.

Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Certification with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.
  2. Demonstrated awareness of and adherence to professional and ethical standards.
  3. Member of ONTABA, ABAI, and/or APBA an asset.
  4. Excellent knowledge and skill in the delivery of services based on the principles of ABA for children with ASD.
  5. Ability to establish rapport and trust with families.
  6. Excellent MS Office and Excel proficiency required.
  7. Strong inter-personal skills to work well with community partners.
  8. Provides competency based training, coaching and support.
  9. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  10. Incumbent must be aware of, and work in accordance with the rules and regulations set out by Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.
  11. Incumbent must be trained in AODA, First Aid, CPR, CPI and WHMIS.
  12. Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  13. Demonstrated success in motivating and leading people.
  14. Flexible, organized and self directed within scope of responsibility.
  15. Second language is an asset.
  16. Minimum 1+ years of clinical supervision experience is an asset.
  17. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience working with children with ASD and their families.
  18. Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
