Family Caregivers of British Columbia (FCBC) is adding a Health & Community Engagement Lead position to our dedicated team, working remotely from Vancouver (Lower Mainland), BC.
In our growing organization, the Health & Community Engagement Lead role offers a dynamic opportunity to be a part of an innovative approach to health care transformation where the patient and family are front and centre at the point of care, community, and systems levels. You would bring your skills and experience to support this vision of the future where family caregivers are identified, supported and included as essential partners in care. You are independent and flexible, and can excel in a virtual team environment where technology is part of the norm. 
With the ability and passion for building relationships and creating opportunities to highlight the caregiver role, the Health & Community Engagement Lead will deepen ties to Lower Mainland communities and service providers and expand the involvement of volunteers within FCBC’s volunteer program.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• A bachelor’s degree in social services, health care or another related discipline (master’s degree an asset). 
• Five (5) years’ experience in health or social services, preferably involving families, with health experience highly preferred. 
• Proven effectiveness in working collaboratively, building and managing positive relationships with individuals, committees, networks, professional organizations and other stakeholders. 
• Knowledge of the role of family and friend caregivers, with experience an asset.
• Good working knowledge of non-profit organizations.
• Strong presentation, facilitation and group training skills. 
• Working familiarity with effective engagement strategies and tactics in a fast-paced working environment. 
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills. 
• Proficiency in a Windows environment and with common desk top applications.
• Ability to, and comfort with, working from a home office with a flexible work schedule.

Family Caregivers of British Columbia is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to supporting those who care for an adult family member or friend due to disease, disability or frailty due to aging. Our services enable family caregivers to build skills, reduce stress, and enhance quality of life.
