CLNH is inviting qualified candidates for a Full Time employment opportunity in our Applied Behavioural Analysis program. We are looking for a positive, energetic and highly capable individual with a strong background to work within our team.

 

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor Degree from a recognized Universityor degree-granting institution in addition to either Community College Diploma in the Behavioural Sciences Field(e.g. BST diploma) and/or Masters degree in the field of ABA or enrollment in the program
  • Must have 2 – 3 years previous employment experience with children with autism
  • Must have skills and experience delivering ABA interventions to individuals and groups
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team
  • The successful candidate must have access to a vehicle to support the families on their caseload
  • Experience writing Behaviour Support Plans in the areas of: communication, maladaptive behaviour reduction, daily living skills and social skills
  • Experience training parents and caregivers to implement Behaviour Support Plans
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience providing family-centered practice
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral are essential
  • Demonstrated experience in Core Competencies

DUTIES:

  • To provide interventions to children and youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder using approaches based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), (not including Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI)
  • Use an ABA approach to support families and service providers to address the needs that children / youth with ASD have in the areas of communication, social/interpersonal skills, daily living skills, and behaviour management/emotional regulation
  • To record data and participate in the functional assessment and analysis of the child/youth’s behaviour
  • To maintain thorough and ongoing documentation and prepare reports
  • To participate in the development and delivery of both individualized and group interventions.
  • To work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team in the community

HOURS OF WORK:

 

Committed to regular 80 hour bi-weekly schedule that meets the needs of the people we support.

Evening work will be required.
