CLNH is inviting qualified candidates for our Manager of Children's Inclusion Services. We are looking for a positive, energetic and highly capable individual with a strong background working with young children with differing abilities (infant to kindergarten) and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team. The candidate must have experience passion and insight into the needs of children with developmental challenges and their families. They will also have knowledge of the Early Learning and Childcare Act and experience and competencies to support Resource Consultants to work in early childhood settings.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Program Management - Deliver the Inclusion program with the cooperation and work of the Resource Consultants and support team. Encourage the staff to demonstrate professionalism, respect and accountability as they support our Mission, Vision and Values. Liaising and Developing Relationships with early learning centers, their staff teams and families so that children with differing abilities are supported and included.
  • Financial Management- Contributes to the annual budgeting process. Responsibility to monitor and stay on track with the budget within the Inclusion department.
  • Human Resource Management- Equips, supervises and coaches the Inclusion staff team. Oversees hiring, and performance coaching of all staff persons within the inclusion department in coordination with the Director. Facilitates performance reviews for all employees.
  • Community Partnership and Development- Collaborate with community partners from other agencies to continue to develop and grow the Inclusion program at a regional level. Participate in various community partnerships to support the growth and development of Halton children, families and child care settings.

Qualifications:

  • degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education and a certificate in Resource Consulting or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to and experience in coaching and managing a staff team
  • Commitment to inclusion in our communities
  • Experience working with children with developmental challenges
  • Experience in coordinating administrative and scheduling needs
  • Ability to act as part of a management team
  • Computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple levels of need
  • Access to transportation
