Manager of Counselling and Health Promotion



Family and Settlement Services



Under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager of Specialized Programs, the Manager of Counselling and Health Promotion oversees violence prevention and reduction programs tailored for men and women, supports programs for victims of crime and families, gender equality projects and health promotion programming.  She or he supervises Program and Project Coordinators and frontline staff and works collaboratively through an integrated services approach with MOSAIC’s Family, Settlement, Language, and Employment Services staff, as well as community organizations and stakeholders. She or he is responsible for collecting data, reporting to funders, writing proposals, evaluating, planning and implementing programs and related human resources activities, all in coordination with the Senior Manager and various Program or Project Coordinators.



·      Will be very knowledgeable of family services and crucial issues associated with the vulnerability of immigrant and visible minorities

·      Will know about staff supervision, and community development practices and programming (with an emphasis on capacity building and coordination)

·      Will possess a working knowledge of standard office equipment and software applications (word processing and spreadsheets)

·      Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other areas in the humanities, Master’s degree highly preferred. Related experience can potentially take the place of education.

·      Will have 3-4 years of experience in working in relevant aspects of settlement services, community development or community based social services

·      Will have 3+ years experience in management and implementing organization policies and procedures

·      Highly organized, able to motivate and provide strong leadership and support to staff and consultants



Experience working with immigrants, refugees, visible minorities from different ethnocultural minority communities



Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check



Monday-Friday, 35 hrs per week



$27.76 to $31.24/Hour based on experience


A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
