Richmond Society for Community Living is a medium sized non-profit agency that provides support and services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.


We are currently accepting applications for a:


Vocational Counselor (35 hours weekly)

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who has strong leadership and communication skills, as well the empowering perspective of increasing the quality of individuals lives through social inclusion and personal development.


The Vocational Counselor is a key member of our Employment Services Team. They assist program participants to obtain and maintain competitive employment in the community. In addition the position supports and works alongside clients in our Handycrew Program which provides program participants the opportunity to develop skills in the areas of home maintenance, yardwork, catering and cleaning.


A Diploma in a related human/social service related field. At least 1-year recent experience supporting individuals who have a developmental disability is required.


Education or experience that has developed sensitivity to the unique needs of individuals using these services is preferred. Ideally the candidate should have taken employment related training courses.

• Approved Criminal Record Search
• Attending Physicians Report
• TB Test
• First Aid Certificate, and
• Valid BC Driver's License
