Background

Action for Healthy Communities (AHC) is a non-profit charitable organization working in Edmonton since 1995 to strengthen community capacity and build healthier and stronger communities. AHC’s objective is to improve the lives of individuals and the communities they live in through the provision of public education and other capacity-building initiatives, to enable them to enhance their own lives.

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Working closely with our Job Developer to increase engagement in employment programs with newcomers between the ages of 18 to 30
  • Performing outreach activities and promote employment programs to target populations (varies by program)
  • Participating in the intake, registration and scheduling of program participants using G Suite
  • Other duties as assigned (based on candidate strengths)

Qualifications

  • Good oral communication, reading and writing skills in English
  • Competency in additional languages an asset – please identify on your resume
  • Experience with G Suite tools – specifically Gmail, Google Calendars and Google Docs/Sheets
  • Continuous Learner with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Facilitation experience an asset

Working Conditions

  • Flexible based on program needs
  • Job Developer works Monday through Friday between 10:00am to 8:00pm
