POSITION SUMMARY

The Edmonton Heritage Council (EHC) is a not for profit organization that is a connector, a catalyst, and an advocate for

Edmonton’s heritage and history, animating conversations and sparking action that connects citizens with the city’s diverse

heritage and stories. The EHC is currently recruiting for Grants Coordinator to fill a one-year maternity leave position. The

Grants Coordinator oversees the day to day administration of the Heritage Community Investment Program, with

leadership and initiative, while working within a collaborative environment in Edmonton’s cultural sector.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promotion, outreach, and awareness of the Heritage Community Investment Program.

• Responding to, reviewing, and providing feedback to both potential and active grant applicants and recipients.

• Support the monitoring of funded projects, review progress reports, provide feedback

• Identify, develop and maintain relationships with prospective grant applicants and funded grant project teams.

• Identify, implement, and enforce strategic updates to grant guidelines and program policy and procedures.

• Managing and administering full cycle grants application process.

• Coordinating and facilitating peer review process.

• Preparing and submitting grant related reports.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least three years of experience in grants administration.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience working within the cultural sector.

• Strong communication skills both written and oral.

• Developed facilitation skills including working with diverse groups, listening for unconscious bias, consensus

building, deescalating conflict.

• Strong coordination and administrative skills.

• Working experience with database management preferred.
