POSITION SUMMARY

The Edmonton Heritage Council (EHC) is a not for profit organization that is a connector, a catalyst, and an advocate for

Edmonton’s heritage and history, animating conversations and sparking action that connects citizens with the city’s diverse

heritage and stories. The EHC is currently recruiting for an Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The Administrative

Coordinator is an administrative wiz that oversees the administrative operations in an efficient, organized manner, while

working within a collaborative environment in Edmonton’s cultural sector.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates and supports effective administration of key internal EHC activities including effective management of

internal documents.

• Manages the coordination of meetings including catering, room and venue booking activities.

• First point of contact for general inquiries from the public and key stakeholders.

• Takes a lead role in social media publishing, e-newsletter content, website maintenance.

• Provides support and coordination to the Board and EHC Management.

• Supports the administrative coordination of grant programs, fundraisers, and special events.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least three years of experience in a professional administrative role.

• Strong communication skills both written and oral.

• Superior coordination and administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail.

• Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.

• Understanding of graphic design concepts and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

• Working experience with database management preferred.

• Experience using social media within a professional environment.

• Experience with desktop publishing and WordPress websites an asset.

• Experience working within the cultural sector preferred.
