Temporary Full- Time, Non-Union position

(February to November 2019)

                                                                                     

As a team member of the Innovative & Collaborative Technology Services Department, the Student Information Analyst participates and provides direct support to the development, engineering, implementing and ongoing maintenance of all student management applications. The Student Information Analyst also participates in the coordination of programs and procedures in all LDCSB schools to meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the London District Catholic School Board to comply with current legislation.

 

Qualifications and Skills required:  

  • Diploma or Degree in information science, technology, computer science or related filed
  • Proficient in Student Data Management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, practices, and diagnostic procedures
  • Experience with SQL and PL/SQL or T-SQL programming
  • Knowledge of additional SQL services and tools such as: SSRS, SSIS, and SQL developer
  • Proven knowledge of HTML and CSS languages
  • Strong understanding of Business Intelligence Tools (Cognos, Watson, etc.)
  • Experience with report development tools such as Crystal Reports, Microsoft Reporting Services or
  • to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and respond to requests in a timely manner equivalent.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Package
  • Experience as a trainer in both one-to-one and classroom type settings
  • Experience with help desk support
  • Knowledge of PowerSchool student management system (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of ministry of education rules of the registers and OnSIS business rules and logic (Preferred)
  • Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a cooperative team
  • Demonstrated ability
  • Highly trustworthy; capable of handling business critical and sensitive information
