Project Coordinator (Term)

As a Project Coordinator you will support the Senior Manager, Risk and Procurement in coordination and delivery of several projects of varying complexity. You will work with a wide variety of team members, managers and stakeholders to deliver these projects efficiently on schedule. This role will require a broad range of responsibilities from preparing project documents through to process maps and summary reports as well as facilitating meetings and workshops and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.


This is an 8 month term position beginning June 2019.

You will

  • Maintain and monitor project plans, documents, budgets and reports
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources and information
  • Organize and participate in stakeholder and project team meetings
  • Prepare necessary presentation material and hand-outs for meetings
  • Document and follow up on actions and decisions from meetings
  • Ensure project deadlines are on schedule and well documented
  • Communicate project status updates to all stakeholders and participants
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Develop project documents including policies, procedures and business cases
  • Provide administrative support including records management, research and communication
  • Keep track of project tasks and deliverables to monitor progress
  • Support the gathering of stakeholder feedback and requirements
  • Resolve project issues as required

You possess

  • Minimum two year diploma in Business Administration or related area with Project Management Certification
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in project coordination or project management
  • Project Management designation is an asset
  • Experience with purchasing and/or risk management is an asset
  • Experience with Visio or similar software to create diagrams and flow charts is an asset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of products especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal teams and key business partners
  • Able to multi-task effectively
  • Able to work on and meet tight deadlines
