Major Responsibilities and Abilities:

  • To provide successful leadership and management of the YMCA Margaret Ma Murray Care and Learning Centre while achieving excellence in childcare and making a significant contribution towards the advancement of child care in the community.
  • To spend within an approved budget, hire, supervise and terminate all staff and volunteers within the Coordinator’s responsibility areas in consultation with the Manager of Child Care Operations, Director of Child Care Services and the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Ensure that all systems meet Association standards of confidentiality, safety, quality, concern for the environment and health and are in compliance with relevant government regulations at all times.


  • Responsible Adult Certificate (Early Childhood Certificate preferred)
  • Current Emergency Child Care First Aid Certification
  • Three professional references
  • Immunization record and TB test
  • Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Search. The YMCA will provide applicable instructions.
