The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS (BC-CfE) is a world-renowned HIV/AIDS research, treatment and education facility and is internationally recognized as an innovative world leader in combating HIV/AIDS and related diseases. 

 

Currently, the BC-CfE has a regular full-time position available for a Clinical Operations Manager for its’ newly created Research and Innovation Centre located in the Downtown Eastside (DTES).  Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations and working closely with the Medical Leader, the position is responsible for providing clinical and operational leadership and support to interdisciplinary team members in the provision of quality care services to patients/clients of the Research and Innovation Centre. 

 

Duties of the position include: providing leadership to an interdisciplinary team; collaborating with the Medical Leader to plan and manage effective and efficient care; working with internal and/or community partners to ensure timely care; ensuring effective communications with and among team members;  collaborating on budget development, and monitoring productivity indicators and budget variances; collaborating with Human Resources on the development of recruitment and retention strategies; facilitating the development and implementation of orientation programs for new staff; evaluating staffing patterns, rotations and vacation schedules; and creating an environment that facilitates interdisciplinary team learning.

 

Requirements for the position include a Master’s degree in a related Health Profession and a minimum of five (5) years of experience at the middle management level in medium to large health care organization, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
