Description

Title:  Case Manager

Program: Foreign Credential Recognition (FCR) Loan Project

Nature: Full-time 35 hours/week

Number of Positions: 1

Duration: August 26, 2019 – March 31, 2020 (renewal subject to funding availability)

Salary: $24.34 – 25.07/hour

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Case Management

  • Conduct intake assessments for clients
  • Conduct preliminary financial assessment for clients
  • Develop, review, revise and update accreditation plans according to client needs
  • Work closely with clients to prepare the loan application package
  • Keep track of client’s progress in accreditation process
  • Provide regular follow up support and guidance to every case managed client
  • Provide possible solutions to clients who encounter repayment difficulties
  • Provide information and refer clients to community service providers for other support services if required
  • Provide job search support and employment connections/opportunities to case managed clients
  • Deliver case management services at outreach locations

Program Activities/Workshops

  • Develop and deliver program workshops to enhance clients’ employability skills, financial literacy and business connections
  • Coordinate and participate in program events to connect clients and employers/mentors
  • Coordinate and facilitate support groups

Program Administration

  • Compile client progress notes
  • Collect data and prepare reports on a monthly basis and when required
  • Participate in weekly case conference and present cases to Project Manager for review
  • Collect evaluation feedback from clients and prepare summary and analysis of findings
  • Attend Project Advisory Committee meetings as needed

Promotion and Marketing

  • Communicate and outreach to with service providers, regulatory bodies and professional associations for marketing and client referrals
  • Manage online forum, monitors clients’ participation and provides online support if required
  • Liaise with employers to provide employment opportunities to the case managed clients

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in employment counseling, case management and group facilitation
  • Thorough knowledge of the FCR licensing processes and systems in BC
  • Experience in conducting financial needs assessment
  • Experience in developing and delivering all job search skills workshops and related activities
  • Experience in working with immigrants
  • Experience in handling multi-tasks, deadlines, caseloads and outcome-based programming
  • In-depth knowledge of career development theories, ethics and adult-learning models
  • CCDP certification an asset
  • Second language an asset

Other Requirements:

  • Able and willing to work weekends and evenings as required
  • Clear Criminal Record Check required
