The Position:

Title: Never Too Late Coordinator                                 Job Type:  Contract: Fall 2019-February 2021


Are you passionate about transforming lives through education, community development, and collaboration?

CFS is looking for a high energy, creative and action-orientated team-player to help us expand the Never Too Late Program.  The expansion, in collaboration with CUPS, will serve the communities within the Belt Line. Once launched in February 2020, The Never Too Late Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination, implementation and delivery of the Never Too Late program. The Coordinator reports to the Supervisor of Mentoring Programs. Flexibility is required in performing duties during regular office hours as well as evenings and the occasional weekend.




  • Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Development or related discipline
  • Certification in Alberta Family Wellness Initiative Brain Story an asset
  • Eligible and in good standing with professional governing body, if applicable
  • 3-5 years of experience working with vulnerable populations with complex needs
  • Understanding of principles of family resiliency, natural supports and knowledge of brain story and trauma informed approaches
  • Ability to create a safe environment for group learning including knowledge of crisis prevention and intervention
  • Skills in interdisciplinary collaboration and partnership building
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer competencies
  • Highly organized self-starter with strong administrative and time management skills
  • Thrives working independently and as part of a team
  • Experience facilitating groups, event coordination and case management
