Position: Human Resources Administrator, Part Time

What you’ll be doing:

The Human Resources Administrator reports to the Human Resources Manager. The position provides administrator level support in all aspects related to Human Resources.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Administration

  • Preparation of HR paperwork
  • Employment Offer Letters
  • Employment Confirmation Letters
  • Employment Change Letters
  • Support the HR Manager with annual compensation review
  • Maintain confidential personnel files
  • Organizational chart maintenance

 

Recruitment, Orientation & Onboarding

  • Coordinating orientation program for new staff members
  • Recruitment
  • Coordinate the job posting process for job vacancies
  • Resume reviewing and candidate phone screening support, when requested
  • Research new posting opportunities to maximize our success in recruitment
  • Provide back up for Human Resource orientation sessions
  • General Human Resources Orientation
  • Personnel Policy Orientation
  • Privacy Orientation

 

Information Management

  • Superuser for HRIS (Human Resource information System) (Dayforce)
  • Troubleshooting
  • Maintaining staff member data
  • Uploading personnel documentation
  • Orientating new staff to the system
  • Create and run status reports for organizational quarterly reporting
  • Coordinate and maintain HR organizational tools and resources
  • License coordination and tracking

 

Project Work

  • Development of Record Retention Guidelines
  • Development and maintenance of HR Wiki page
  • Revision and maintenance of Business Continuity for the organization

What you need to do it well:

  • Human Resources certificate and/or course work are considered an asset
  • 5+ years’ experience in an administrative role
  • You have a high degree of discretion/integrity in dealing with confidential/sensitive information
  • You have demonstrated organization and time management skills
  • You have exceptional computer and technology skills
  • You are a great communicator (both oral and written)
  • You have experience creating, reviewing and editing documents
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems, specifically Dayforce, is considered an asset
  • You are able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience in the non-profit sector is considered an asset
