MOSAIC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Facilitator with excellent communication skills. Their overall responsibilities will be to work alongside internal and external stakeholders to ensure the project is managed according to strict deadlines and within budget, as well as to manage existing and potential project participants and stakeholders to ensure continued growth.

Project Facilitator, Social and Civic Engagement

 
DEPARTMENT: 

Communications and Development

 

POSITION FUNCTION:

 

Reporting to the Coordinator of Social and Civic Engagement, the Project Facilitator is responsible for:

  • building relationships and facilitating ongoing communication with program participants with the objective of supporting immigrants and newcomers to discover interests and opportunities in social and civic engagement
  • fostering an understanding of systemic issues impacting newcomer and immigrant lives
  • planning and implementing workshops and mentorship programming that fosters leadership skills and respond to issues focused on social and civic engagement
  • other project activities as needed (marketing & outreach, data collection, reporting) to increase Social and Civic Engagement for Newcomers and Immigrants)

DESIRABLE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or comparable education and experience
  • Program coordination and delivery; experience with facilitation, training, and public speaking. Experience with newcomers, and experience working with those from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Knowledge of programs and services, immigrant settlement issues and needs; standard office equipment
  • MS Office suite, publishing software, database(s)
  • Diversity and leadership related curriculum development
  • English communication skills, other languages an asset

 

HOURS:

35 hours per week (Some Saturday and evening work required)

 

TEMPORARY POSITION:

Position ends March 31, 2020 (With the possibility of extension dependant on funding)

 

STARTING PAY RANGE:
$22.49 - $23.86 hourly – Depending on experience.

 
A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
