Location/Lieu: Wellness Supportive Living Program – Niagara Region; St. Catharines, Welland, Niagara Falls

 
Position/Poste:  4 Full Time – Health Care Workers & 13 Part Time – Health Care Workers  
(PSW certificate not required – internal training provided) VEHICLE REQUIRED
 
Duties/Fonctions:
  • Assists consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and with March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:
    • Personal care 
    • Dressing/Grooming 
    • Rising/retiring
    • Incontinence care upon training 
    • Meal preparation and feeding
    • Range of motion exercises
    • Light housekeeping duties 
    • Lifts and Transfers upon training 
  • Performs duties in a professional manner, which respects the dignity and right to privacy and maintains consumer and staff health and safety.
  • The Support Services Attendants will be required to work multiple shifts (i.e. work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays) that vary between locations through the Niagara Region.
Qualifications/Compétences requises:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults, or as an informal caregiver considered an asset but not required
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Physical Demands Self Analysis Required upon hire
  • Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours
  • Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation REQUIRED 
Salary Range/Échelle des salaires: $18.04 + km’s reimbursement
