What you’ll do

BC Children’s Hospital Foundation (BCCHF) has an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Direct Response Marketer to join our extraordinary team.

 

Reporting to the Associate Director, Annual Programs, the Direct Response Marketing (DRM) Coordinator will play a key role in the overall strategy, creation, and execution of BCCHF’s DRM program, which includes mail, email, telefundraising, door-to-door, and business-to-business fundraising campaigns.

 

More specifically, the Coordinator will:

  • Coordinate the execution of several mailings and E-appeals a year including providing primary review of campaign plans, campaign copy/art, data plans, print proofs and lazer lives and requesting data pulls from the Information Systems team.
  • Initiate the importing of appeal codes for each mailing/email with the Information Systems and Donor Services teams on a timely manner (before mailings/emails are deployed) to ensure gifts are coded accurately.
  • Create revenue reports in Raiser’s Edge NXT for each mailing, email, door-to-door, business-to-business, and telefundraising campaign.
  • Work with Marketing & Communications to request patient family stories to be profiled in direct mail and email appeals.
  • Monitor a variety of Foundation email boxes for donor inquiries. Promptly respond to donor inquires via phone, email or mail as necessary for the direct mail, telefundraising, door-to-door, and business-to-business programs.
  • Work closely with the Donor Services team to process direct response marketing monthly donations data on a weekly basis.
  • Work with external partners and consultants (mailhouses, printers, agencies) on a daily basis.

What you bring

As the successful candidate you will have a degree or diploma in business, marketing or arts or an Associate Certificate in Fundraising. Your education is complemented by three to five years of directly related fundraising experience with a focus on direct marketing.

  • Sound knowledge of fundraising, donor cycle strategies and marketing;
  • Demonstrated experience with direct mail and/or management of direct marketing programs

  • Proven ability to generate business through acquisition/business development
  • Proven success in building and maintaining donor and vendor relationships
  • Strong ability to analyze, plan, initiate and complete projects in a timely basis
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Raiser’s Edge NXT or other database experience is an asset.
