Outreach Consultant- Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR)

The YMCA of Northern BC is seeking qualified, passionate applicants to join our CCRR team!

 

Location: Burns Lake and Area

Schedule: 16hrs/ 2 days week Flexible Scheduling- With occasional evenings and weekends

Competitive wage:

-          $18.00-$19.87 per hour

-          6% Vacation

Placement date: Immediately

Major Responsibilities and Abilities:

The Outreach Consultant is the community ambassador for the CCRR team; they will provide support and education for parents, care givers and child care providers throughout the Burns Lake area. The outreach consultant is a fundamental member of the CCRR team, collectively working to be the leading support service for child care resources in partnership with families, professionals and communities. The successful candidate will be highly organized, self motivated, efficient, and demonstrate attention to detail and a strong ability to multi-task as they work flexibly to meet the needs of their region.

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education Certificate or equivalent training
  • Proven Computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service principles and practices
  • Experience working in child care (Asset)
  • Excellent time management and teamwork abilities
  • Child Care First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Three professional references
  • Immunization Record
  • Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Search. The YMCA will provide applicable instructions and paperwork
