The Opportunity

DIVERSEcity’s Interpretation, Translation and Language Testing department is a is an industry leading social enterprise business unit providing critical language support services to the market in a fee for service model that integrates for-profit business processes into a social services mission driven organization.  We are looking for a unique individual that brings a combination of strong business and leadership skills with a passion to make a difference in the communities we serve.

We are currently recruiting two positions for the role of Account Representative to join our team in Surrey, BC. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner;
  • Answer or make client calls to address their needs, complaints, or other issues with interpretation and translation services;
  • Build lasting relationships based on trust and reliability with clients and other call center team members;
  • Receive business requests for interpretation and translation services, schedule and assign contract staff;
  • Manage customer accounts and process related transactions in the CRM system;
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable functions;
  • Drive analytics and performance metrics from the CRM system, provide monthly reports and statistics;
  • Maintain intake, evaluation, record keeping and requisitions;
  • Adhere to Policies & Procedures and Personnel Policies of the Society;
  • Establish, maintain and grow account relationships with key customers including sales and outreach;
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the manager.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in business administration, sales, marketing or related field;
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ recent work experience in a customer service related role, preferably in a call centre environment;
  •  Working knowledge with financial systems including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing and collections;
  • Professional telephone manners and interpersonal skills;
  • Minimum 50 WPM, typing speed;
  • Computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office, CRM systems and other related databases;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Exceptional written and spoken English language communication skills, other languages considered an asset;
  • Goal-driven with ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills;
  • Ability to work well with volunteers, public, and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds.
