ECO Canada is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Sales Consultant with a proven track record of success to join our growing organization. We provide professional development and HR resources to environmental employers and individuals through technical workshops, online courses and continuing education, environmental professional designation and custom research.  You will be responsible for converting our database of leads into customers in one or more of these areas. Reporting to the VP of Marketing & Customer Engagement, your role will focus on executing a sales plan to find prospective customers, map our solution to their needs, build rapport and close sales. This is a high speed, transactional process to target accounts, qualify buyers, deliver presentations and manage a pipeline of prospective clients. Success in this position would be based on your ability to be creative in your sales engagement style, be strategic in your qualification process and focus on closing. This is a six-month contract with the possibility of becoming full-time based on performance.

Job Description

  • Execute company sales and marketing functions as well as sales selling cycle and methodology under VP direction
  • Promote all products and services to qualified leads as per marketing and sales plans
  • Research and develop strategies to identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development
  • Act as a key conduit between Company and customer at senior levels
  • Conduct custom presentations on our services to prospective customers (in the form of lunch n learn, discovery meetings, etc.)
  • Weekly and monthly outreach to members, network contacts, partners and interested parties with information relevant to training and workforce development support initiatives
  • Regular communication and documentation of your activities, reporting on lead conversion metrics and key messaging
  • Research potential employer leads for new pipeline growth
  • Adapt to changing priorities and business needs and provide support where necessary
  • Build corporate brand and brand awareness, both internally and externally
  • Other special project assistance may be required

 

Required Skills

The incumbent should have demonstrable experience in the following areas:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and desire to connect with people in working in all areas of the environment sector
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Maintain high professionalism when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to write and edit official correspondence, proposals or reports
  • Great attitude and ability to maintain control while coordinating activities and balancing multiple priorities
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Desire to work in a results-focused environment
  • Motivated self-starter with a willingness to adapt to a variety of situations
  • Able to measure success metrics and identify trends
  • Superior time management
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative attitude

Qualifications

  • A sales and business development profession with a track record of strong relationship development that leads to sales results
  • At least 4 years of experience in B2B or corporate sales
  • Prior experience selling to small to mid-enterprise clients
  • Ability to speak confidently and effectively to decision-makers and teams
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Office, particularly with Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics
  • Working knowledge of lead management best practices
  • Knowledge of resources and tools available to assist with the sale process
  • Ability to travel as needed
