Client companies typically have 5 to 250 employees and serve various industry verticals. In business since 1992, Express offers a diverse set of skills focused on Microsoft desktop, infrastructure, collaboration, and productivity solutions. Our services include consulting and system design, technology implementation, 24x7 immediate emergency response and general IT support.
Express Computers is a Microsoft Gold Certified partner with a core competency in Advanced Networking Solutions. This is in addition to being a Premiere Business Partner with IBM, a Value Added Partner with Lenovo, and Certified Partner with a number of product manufacturers such as Cisco, Sonic Wall, Symantec, Groove Networks, Intel, AMD, and Hewlett Packard.
History - Celebrating 17 Years in Business
At the end of this year, Express Computers will celebrate its 17th year in business. Darren Layton started the company in July of 1992 from the basement of his home. Prior to this, Darren jointly owned and operated a commercial recording studio and for five years produced and engineered many top Fraser Valley artists. Darren produced the Best of BC, a compilation of the greatest groups in the area at the time. As a composer and musician, he started very early using computers in his studio. It was this exposure that led to the creation of Express.
Many companies were pushing PC's, software, and various gadgets. Very few companies offered technical consulting services designed to make computing easier and more effective in the small business world. Darren watched companies adopt the technology but struggle with its operation.
Incorporated in 1996, and over the course of the next four years, Express Computers grew steadily due to its focus on treating clients as partners and working with them to enhance their own business. The team grew to 21 employees by 1999 at which time the Internet really took hold.
Darren and his management team then formed X Interactive Technologies Inc. This company would be a sister company to Express Computers, allowing the team to offer their clientele a broader suite of services by adding software design, customization, and implementation. Our priority was and still is our customers' business performance. These additional services allowed us to look at information technology as a whole, fully integrated service.
The company will further develop its culture to be supportive of its people and their career development. The company will partner only with the best and bring fully integrated end to end solutions to small and medium sized enterprises, and to the non-profit sector.
Our people and our partners will deliver technology to companies with a commitment to our customer's business performance. It is this commitment that will grow the company to be the national leader in Information Technology services to small and medium sized enterprises.
