We are an e-learning content company, designing and developing e-learning modules which are accessible to non-profit organisations at the JEDlet® online library. We have done custom-content development with a number of non-profit and government organisations.
Examples of our non-profit involvement:
Academic institutions and schools: We provide our content to 4-Quebec Colleges through Humanis and the Calgary Board of Education, plus academic institutions in Hungary.
Government of Canada: We have performed many development contracts with various government departments and entities, including the Language School.
Non-profit Associations: We have collaboratively developed different e-learning modules, including with: The Dairy Farmers of Canada (The 4-H Club), l'Alliance des radios communautaires du Canada (4 modules), Society for Quality Education (14 literacy modules) and the Elizabeth Bruyere Research Institute (2 modules on Dementia).
Non-profit Groups: We work with Community Futures (Toronto), and support other groups encouraging entrepreneurship, women-owned, and first nations businesses.
The JEDlet® library is rendered using an ASP.NET solution that includes XSLT and Flash along with a SQL Server glossary and consists of these five libraries:
- Human Resources
- Trainers and Teachers
Two language programs are available:
- Frolicking with Phonics (14 modules comprising of 40 lessons)-a literacy program that teaches people how to read in English, moving from basic to advanced. This complements the free Pathways to Learning method and requires a tutor who understands English.
- Aline au pays des merveilles (32 modules)-an advanced French language program for total immersion students or job seekers wishing to be designated “bilingual”.
