CIOC is a member-based non-profit consortium formed in 1999 to create, improve and support its online software so that its members can efficiently serve the public and fulfill their own mandates.
CIOC is all about building community online - people helping people by sharing information, experience and resources. Our award-winning software was developed by and for the non-profit sector and is actively being used across Canada to help thousands of citizens every day.
About CIOC Software
CIOC software products connect people to information about Community Services, Businesses, Volunteer Opportunities, and more. Our software supports the professionals who help to make those connections between people and the information they need, through effective tools for matching needs to information and tracking client requests. Our software products have been used to support the efforts of local Community Information Centres, 211 Call Centres, Volunteer Centres, Community Care Access Centres, Economic Development departments, and many others.
All software products are available in Canadian English, and some products also include support for French language and/or the capacity to support other languages in the future. We are currently working towards full support of both English and French language services within all our software offerings.
CIOC software is membership-based, and we encourage organizations that become members to participate in the CIOC Community and become an active part of the CIOC organization. We rely on our members' ideas, efforts, and resources to make the software and the organization the best it can be. When you become a member of CIOC, you are not buying a boxed software product - you are joining an active community that encourages co-operative development and the sharing of ideas and information.
