This role works closely with both the Director of Organizational Development and the Executive Director, as part of the leadership team, in the management and oversight of finance processes within the Finance Team, in adherence with the organization’s financial policies and procedures. The person in this role will be responsible for building and implementing a strong finance strategy for the organization’s growing budget, providing oversight to day-to-day functions, and keeping an eye on long-term viability. They hold, manage, and support organizational financial policies and practices. 


The role of the Finance Team Lead will be responsible for the following:

  • Working effectively on tasks assigned within the context of BB4CK values and culture 



  • Contribute to the overall organizational strategy and direction 
  • Act as a support to the organization overall 
  • Supervise and support the Finance Coordinator(s), including role identification and recruitment when required 
  • Build infrastructure and tools that support the success of the Finance team 



  • Develop and lead the organization’s financial strategy, assessing effectiveness, identifying gaps and monitoring compliance 
  • Develop, monitor, update and ensure compliance with operational financial policies and processes 
  • Work with leadership to develop budgets, create regular reports and forecast future financial standing 
  • Carry responsibility as a signing authority for the organization when appropriate 
  • Coordinate and support the annual audit, working with external accountants 
  • Oversee and manage banking and investment accounts 
  • Oversee and coordinate work for day to day financial data entry, reconciliations and record keeping, working with the Finance teams and with other teams where appropriate. Prepare financial reports for funders, donors and government (including tax return) as needed

 Education & Experience  

  • Relevant Finance/Accounting Degree from an accredited institution. 
  • CPA designation, or enrollment in CPA designation program required 
  • 7+ years experience in finance 
  • 5 years experience leading a team
  • Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook mail) and finance systems (QuickBooks Online or other)

This roles general working hours are 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday daytimes, although flexibility is required from time to time to meet the demands of the role.


BB4CK offers a competitive total compensation approach to support the physical, psychological, cultural and financial wellbeing of our people. Base salary is calculated at the 50th percentile of market value with additional benefits equivalent to over $15,000.
