Overview: As Executive Director, you'll steer and enrich our mission to build resilient communities in Quebec through economic development. We seek a strategic and visionary leader with a proven track record in nonprofit management to guide us through a new growth phase, revitalizing our community impact with fresh ideas and strong government relations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Craft, implement and oversee the execution of a progressive strategic plan that secures the long term relevance and viability of the organization. Foster innovation and responsiveness to evolving community needs with agility and foresight.
  • Government Relations: Cultivate strong relationships with government officials. Ensuring understanding of the community needs and support for policies that enhance our mission.
  • Funding and Resource Development: Lead fundraising initiatives, including grant writing, and nurturing donor relationships. Ensure long term financial sustainability of the organization.
  • Talent Management: Attract, develop, and retain top talent. Promote a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
  • Community Engagement: Respond to changes in the community landscape and ensure we are well positioned as a leading resource in employment and entrepreneurship. Bolster partnerships in public and private sectors and refine our service offerings to attract and retain partners.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage daily operations with an eye for efficiency and efficacy. Uphold stringent standards of accountability and transparency.
  • Board Engagement: Prepare comprehensive reports and strategic updates for the Board of Directors. Lead the organization's Annual General Meeting (AGM) preparations. Ensure alignment with the board’s governance and strategic direction.



  • University degree in a relevant field; a postgraduate degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in nonprofit leadership, strategic planning, and team management.
  • A solid foundation in fundraising and government relations.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities; with bilingualism in English and French.
  • Deep understanding into employment and entrepreneurship programmes.
  • Familiarity with the challenges and key stakeholders in the Official Language Minority Community sector.
