McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association is searching for a Program Manager to support the leadership of our team of dedicated professionals providing quality services in Edmonton. The Program Manager, Disability Services Programs will oversee our Specialized Supports for Independence program.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Director of Programs and Services, the Program Manager provides oversight of programs that offer client-led, flexible service, and up to 24-hour support in group living homes for adults living with disabilities that in some cases, also struggle with homelessness, addiction and mental health disorders.

 

The Program Manager will oversee a small team of supervisors and group living homes, will guide daily operations, ensure health and safety measures are in place, and ensure funder requirements are met.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Fosters and encourages a culture that aligns with organizational values.
  • Provides performance, leadership, coaching and mentoring to employees and supervisors through a best practice, harm reduction lens.
  • Oversee case management and the preparation of support and/or health & safety plans.
  • Debrief and follow-up critical incidents and/or crisis situations with supervisors, as required, to provide support, ensure procedures were followed and minimize future incidents.
  • Manage budgets, funder requirements and reporting deadlines.
  • Support the preparation of grant proposals, funding applications, budget projections, and program planning.
  • Manage records and information and prepare accurate and timely reporting.

What you bring:

  • A post-secondary degree/diploma in human services or a related discipline and a minimum of three years' experience in a management/supervisory role. Equivalencies will be considered.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have a strong commitment to work effectively as a member of a team and be able to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Class 5 drivers license, road worthy vehicle, and comfort driving to various locations are required.
  • Experience in direct service provision is an asset.

The Salary range for this position is $74,019 - $88,397 annually commensurate with education/experience.
