The Alzheimer Society of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton (ASBHNHH) is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to provide exercise classes in the community that are adaptable to the varying degree of participant abilities and that enables them to maintain an independent lifestyle. This part-time position will work in Haldimand County, specifically Cayuga, Dunnville and Selkirk, approximately five (5) hours per week (three (3) hours on Mondays and two (2) hours on Wednesdays).

The hourly rate for this role is $20.83 - $26.03 per hour plus 6% vacation pay.

 

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in fitness instruction with adults and/or older adults
  • Minimum two (2) to three (3) years’ in group facilitation with persons living with dementia
  • Knowledge of adult fitness principles and approaches
  • Valid Standard First Aid certification
  • Clear criminal record check for the vulnerable sector
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to speak a second language is an asset.
