Position: Speech and Language Pathologist
Location: Parksville, Vancouver Island, B.C
Hours: 28 hours per week – Permanent
Salary: Grid 17-P SLP $45.52 - $52.68
Job Summary
We are looking for a Speech and Language Pathologist to join our Sources Oceanside team!The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) is a member of the Child Development Services (CDS) team, providing integrated, multidisciplinary, family centered developmental services and support to the children and families within the service delivery area.
The SLP provides community-based services and supports for children between birth and school entry who have, or are at risk for, a developmental delay and/or disability and their families. Services are provided at home, in community settings such as preschool and childcare centers and at the child development center. SLPs focus on supporting children move towards speech and language skills that are within normal range for their age, as well as supporting children to develop successful communication skills in the functional contexts of home and community settings using the mode(s) of communication that are feasible for them, which may include, but are not limited to speech, signs, or picture communication systems.
