Based at: 7011 Girard Road

Reports to: International Senior Manager

Hours of work: 9-5 Monday-Friday

Status: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The International Program Coordinator (IPC) is responsible for assisting the coordination of the various programs in the international department in Hope Mission. The programs span from coordinating shipping projects, to managing inventory and volunteers, to facilitating meal packaging projects. The IPC will engage directly with the rest of the international team to develop these programs through their ideas and work.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and facilitate pickups of donations with volunteers, drivers, and vehicles.
  • Facilitate the storage of inventory, while maintaining appropriate levels of required items.
  • Prepare and plan inventory for overseas shipments.
  • Manage shipments and volunteer teams while loading containers.
  • Support the International Senior Manager in planning projects.
  • Develop processes with the volunteers to better manage inventory and projects.
  • Facilitate meal package events both at Hope Mission and at other locations.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Communication, or other related education.
  • Fluent English in speaking, writing, and reading.
  • Highly organized and motivated individual.
  • Skills and experience in management of teams of people.
  • Class 5 Drivers License and willingness to drive a cube truck.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with volunteers an asset.
  • Experience driving a truck, forklift, and lift jack an asset.

Other Requirements:

  • Being a Christian Organization, we require our employees to be in agreement and sign the Hope Mission Statement of Faith.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis.
  • Able to provide Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
  • A letter of reference from a ministry or church is an asset
  • Adherence to Hope Mission’s Policies and Procedures.
