Join our dynamic team at the Vancouver Art Gallery as our Marketing & Destination Specialist! Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications & Branding, you will play a key role in crafting and launching exciting marketing campaigns that showcase our exhibitions, programs, and initiatives. You will promote the Gallery to the tourism market and other cultural associations to help drive admissions and membership revenue. Leveraging both traditional and digital media to build the Gallery’s reputation locally and internationally, you will work hand-in-hand with tourism partners and represent us at trade shows and other events throughout the city. Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will regularly team up with our internal departments as well as external media, vendors, and designers to make an impact.
What You Will Do
This role contributes to the overall success of the Communications team and ensures contribution to the Gallery’s strategic goals.
What You Bring to the Role
As a Marketing & Destination Specialist, you hold a University degree or Diploma in Marketing or a related field. You also bring a minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible marketing or advertising experience.

Salary: Pay Grade 23: Step 1: $32.46 per hour.
Schedule: Nine-day fortnight schedule, working 70 hours bi-weekly.
This is a unionized position. This assignment falls under the jurisdiction of CUPE Local 15 – VMECW.
This is an in-office position at the Gallery’s downtown Vancouver location; however, some flexibility exists for working from home.
