Position: Clinical Counsellor (Clinical Counselling and Discover Y Services)

 

Location: Parksville, Vancouver Island, BC

 

Hours: Clinical Counselling: 18 hours per week, part time, temporary

Maternity Leave – October 4, 2024, to October 4, 2025

Discover Y: – 12hours per week, part time, temporary

Maternity Leave – October 4, 2024 to October 4, 2025

 

Salary: Grid 16p $41.78-$51.14

 

We are looking for a Clinical Counsellor to join our Sources Oceanside team! This position will provide clinical counselling services to youth (13-18 years old) and parents (with children birth to 18 years old) as well as youth and young adults (ages 15-25 years old) in the Discover Y program. This position will work directly with clients providing evidence-based therapeutic treatment around challenges such as anxiety, depression, suicide risk and emotional regulation. The individual must have strong interpersonal skills, have experience providing therapy related to mental and emotional health using trauma informed and culturally responsive practices, and work well in a team.

Qualifications / Training / Experience:

  • Master’s degree in human services (e.g., MACP, MC, MA (CYC), MSW)
  • Registration with a governing body required (RCC, CCC).
  • Two (2) years recent related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check (CRC)
